Second Home mortgages

Our second home mortgages are designed for anyone looking to buy a second residential property which could include a second residence for work, a home for a family member to live in or perhaps a holiday home for personal use (these properties must not be used for business purposes or rented). With this is mind, we’ve designed a specific range of products to meet your needs in a number of ways.

  • If you’re looking to borrow up to 70% LTV you could borrow the whole mortgage on an interest only repayment basis.
  • Part & Part repayment options are available for customers wanting to borrow up to 75% LTV.
  • You could be able to borrow up to 85% LTV on a repayment basis.

A mortgage of £130,000 payable over 25 years initially on a fixed rate for 2 years at 1.80% and then on our current Standard Variable Rate of 5.44% (variable) for the remaining 23 years would require 24 monthly payments of £538.13 and 276 monthly payments of £772.36.

The total amount payable would be £227,121.10 made up of the loan amount plus interest of £96.087.10 and application fee £0, product fee £999, valuation fee £0.

The overall cost for comparison is 4.9% APRC representative.
